Common paint-estimating mistakes
Most errors come from mixing area, volume and product coverage.
Floor area is not wall area
A 20 m² floor does not imply 20 m² of wall.
Do not double-count coats
If the formula already multiplies by coats, do not also divide coverage by the coat count.
Use net paintable area
Subtract large openings before applying coat and coverage assumptions.
